Scope
The scope of the project included the design, installation, start up and commissioning of the fuel system, including two canopies, five tanks and nine Dover Fueling Solutions® Wayne Anthem® dispensers, which feature 27” color screens. Five dispensers were installed under the gas canopy, featuring three high speed diesel lanes with DEF and one outside lane for diesel fueling only.
The diesel canopy was a unique installation for the Seneca team. The canopy was designed at a true 45-degree angle which required the satellite dispensers to be installed as standalone units, rather than as part of a master dispenser system. The angled design also necessitated the addition of extra structural steel for support.
Once the equipment was installed, the Seneca team made sure that the dispensers were calibrated and all systems were ready to use.
Challenges
In the middle of construction, an equipment change was requested. This required replacing not only the dispensers, but also all under dispenser containments and hardware to support the change. This equipment transition occurred just one week prior to setting the under dispenser containments, allowing piping to be installed on schedule and not delay progress on-site.
Outcome
The client is very happy with the fuel systems equipment installation project completed by the Seneca Fuel Systems team.
