Seneca Companies expands into Utah, names branch manager.
(DES MOINES, IA – October 20, 2022) – Seneca Companies is pleased to announce its expansion into the Salt Lake City, Utah region. Chris Tabor will serve as the new location’s branch manager.
“Opening a Salt Lake City branch is a step towards our goal of growing the distribution arm of our company and continued commitment to serving our customers as they expand west. I look forward to putting together a team of talented professionals who are passionate about the work we do and providing excellent customer service. My goal is to have full service and construction divisions operating by early 2023,” said Chris Tabor, Western Account Manager.
Services provided at this new location currently include fuel systems service, construction and parts distribution for Utah and areas further west.

Here is a person who started as a service technician for Seneca years ago and has progressed into the role of outside salesperson and now the branch manager of our Salt Lake City office. His success has been integral to Seneca’s growth into the mountain region. I’m confident in Chris’ ability to build relationships with local contractors and customers in this new area, all while building a successful team of Seneca service technicians and licensed UST installers,” said Darren Binning, VP of Fuel Systems.
Tabor has been in the petroleum industry for nine years, starting in 2014 when he worked in construction and then as a technician. He started his career with Seneca in 2016 as a service technician at the Denver, Colorado branch location and from there became a remote service technician in the Montana region in 2018. A year later, he assumed an outside sales role where he covered the Western part of Seneca’s territory including Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, North Dakota and Western Nebraska. Going forward, Tabor will assume the role of branch manager at the new Salt Lake City branch and will oversee all aspects of operation.
