Seneca Companies’ Fuel Systems division utilized its electrical and service departments to provide a private client with “The Complete Solution” recently as a massive convenience store (c-store) conversion project was tackled.

The project encompassed various tasks:
  • Installation of new Gilbarco® generic third party software in all fueling dispensers at multiple store locations.
  • Installation of secure card readers in multiple store locations.
  • Reprogramming of tank monitor consoles for communication to new corporate office.
  • Electrical work that changed to four wire communications with fueling dispensers.
  • Installation of new backroom interface equipment.
  • Addition of Gilbarco® Security Module (GSM) debit modules to multiple locations.
  • Reprogrammed the fueling dispensers to interface with new POS console systems.
All of the aforementioned work was completed in five working days with seven to eight different locations converted each day. The conversions began promptly at 5:00 a.m. daily and all stores were reopened for business between seven 7:00 p.m. and midnight each day. Given the sheer volume of locations in this project, Seneca utilized service technicians from several different branches. All electrical work was performed by in-house electricians.

All locations were successfully converted per the client’s timeline and expectations.
